Job Responsibilities:
Inspect, audit, and report on materials, services, processes, and products using measuring instruments and techniques to ensure conformance with the company's quality standards;
Enter data and maintain paper and electronic quality records where required;
Participate in conducting internal quality audits;
Participates in problem solving and continuous improvement projects (Corrective Action and Preventive Action teams);
Represent Wagstaff and the Quality Assurance Team when interacting with auditors, customers, suppliers and visitors;
Communicate with customers and suppliers on quality-related issues as directed by the QA Manager;
Assists in maintaining and creating team documentation;
Prepare inspection sheets for production floor use;
Collect, monitor, organize, report, and distribute data as it relates to the functions of the Quality department;
Prepare and present reports for the Quality department and company use;
Assists in statistical studies and analysis;
Assist with specialized inspections as it correlates with individual certifications.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Quality or Technical Vocation and/or a minimum of ten years QA work experience;
Minimum of ten years of machining, manufacturing, or Wagstaff/Aluminum Casting Industry experience;
Ability to read blue prints and mechanical inspection skills, experience/training in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T);
Must be familiar with quality management systems, root cause analysis and NDE techniques;
One or more certifications (Level II or higher) in inspection technologies such as NDE, Weld inspection (CWI) or ASQ Certified Quality Inspector or Technician;
Strong preference for certification in both MT and Weld inspection (CWI);
Experience and/or education in SPC, Statistics and/or Sampling;
Must be eligible to work in the United States.

QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER
Hearth & Home Technologies, Colville, WA, the manufacturer of Quadra-Fire stoves, fireplaces and fireplace inserts, is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager.
This position manages the Quality department and responsibilities include monitoring, maintaining, analyzing and improving the quality system.
Design, production, procurement and distribution are key components of the quality value chain.
The departmental strategy is to focus on process improvement and variation reduction through the application of statistical methodologies.
Proactive and preventive measures are critical.
The Quality Assurance Manager oversees a department of nine, and develops and directs programs to collect, analyze and display statistical data from audits and other critical points in the manufacturing processes; provides guidance in using quality tools such as SPC, tend analysis, Pareto analysis, capability, fishbone diagrams, and other tools as necessary; oversees the effective management of the corrective action process; responsible for internal and external supplier's PPAP and APQP process; coordination of supplier qualification, development and recovery of nonconformance cost.
The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Quality, or related experience.
Previous experience implementing pro-active Quality Systems is highly desired.
ASQ and Black Belt Certifications are desirable; expertise in Implementation and/or Management of Product Quality Planning, Lean Six Sigma Methods/Process Control Tools, or Quality Systems is desired.
