Qualified applicants must have a BS in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics with 1-10 years of relevant product experience. This position will have significant customer and supplier interactions.

Previous experience in Reliability Predictions, Analysis and Demonstrations is essential. HALT and HASS test methodologies desirable.

QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER


Hearth & Home Technologies, Colville, WA, the manufacturer of Quadra-Fire stoves, fireplaces and fireplace inserts, is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager. This position manages the Quality department and responsibilities include monitoring, maintaining, analyzing and improving the quality system.

Design, production, procurement and distribution are key components of the quality value chain. The departmental strategy is to focus on process improvement and variation reduction through the application of statistical methodologies. Proactive and preventive measures are critical.

The Quality Assurance Manager oversees a department of nine, and develops and directs programs to collect, analyze and display statistical data from audits and other critical points in the manufacturing processes; provides guidance in using quality tools such as SPC, tend analysis, Pareto analysis, capability, fishbone diagrams, and other tools as necessary; oversees the effective management of the corrective action process; responsible for internal and external supplier's PPAP and APQP process; coordination of supplier qualification, development and recovery of nonconformance cost.

The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Quality, or related experience. Previous experience implementing pro-active Quality Systems is highly desired. ASQ and Black Belt Certifications are desirable; expertise in Implementation and/or Management of Product Quality Planning, Lean Six Sigma Methods/Process Control Tools, or Quality Systems is desired.
